Alviina Alametsä is a Finnish Member of European Parliament from the Greens / European Free Alliance group. She serves as a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and a substitute member of the Subcommittee on Security and Defense, the Committee on Petitions, and the Committee on Transport and Tourism. At the age of 30, she is the youngest Finnish MEP.

Peace and conflict resolution is one of Alametsä's central goals in her political work. Alametsä is the standing rapporteur for EU-India relations in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, a role she has taken on with a strong focus on human rights issues. In the Security and Defense Subcommittee, she has acted as her group’s coordinator, as rapporteur of a report on civilian CSDP, and as shadow rapporteur on reports regarding, for example, the security of the Arctic and Sahel regions.

 Alametsä serves as observer to the Board of Governors of the European Institute of Peace. Before her work as an MEP, she has worked as an assistant to Pekka Haavisto, at CMI - Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation and as a project manager at Mielenterveyspooli, a Finnish organisation on mental health, amongst other things.
