Frida Nome is a senior adviser at NOREF Norwegian Center for Conflict Resolution. She is part of its Middle East program and works on the development and facilitation of track II processes. Prior to joining NOREF, she served as a senior adviser in the Section for Peace and Reconciliation at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nome is an Arabic speaker. She holds a PhD in Islamic studies and has previously worked as a researcher at The Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) and the Norwegian Institute of Foreign Affairs (NUPI). She has written three documentary books and several academic works on topics related to the Middle East.
