Riikka Järvenpää

Representative of NWM-Finland Operational Partner

Riikka Järvenpää is a Project Officer at the Women in Peacemaking team at CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation. Her work focuses on strengthening the role of Palestinian women actors in peace and security. She also supports CMI’s role as an Operational Partner to the Nordic Women Mediators as well as in organizing the UN High-Level Seminar on Gender and Inclusive Mediation Strategies. Previously she has worked at the Embassy of Finland in Nairobi and at the unit for Sectoral Policy at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. She holds a master’s degree in social sciences from Tampere University.
