Suvikki Silvennoinen

Suvikki Silvennoinen is a Finnish diplomat who currently works at Centre for Peace Mediation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, her responsibilities including coordination related to NWM. Prior to this appointment, she was engaged in Finland’s international development and environmental policy. With educational background in international law, she has extensive experience in the field of human rights. During her diplomatic career she has been working with human rights policy, with special focus on the UN Human Rights Council and indigenous peoples’ rights. She has been posted as Deputy Head of Mission to the Embassy of Finland in Chile and Iran. Before entering the diplomatic career she worked in international development and human rights related CSOs, and as a civil servant.
