Pia Horttanainen Croxford is Managing Director and Co-Founder at Myelin LLC. She has worked in various roles and assignments in Somalia, Afghanistan, and has over 20 years of experience from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Finnish Defence Forces and private sector. Pia holds expertise on neuroscience aspects and applications to a conflict resolution and leadership/team performance, post-conflict and transitional contexts, negotiations and agreements, constitutional issues, rule of law and good governance, mediation, development and humanitarian aid, risk management and anti-corruption. She has vast experience also as lecturer and trainer and she has published an article regarding rule of law and Somalia as part of a Finnish article collection published by the Wider Security Network (WISE). She holds Master’s degree in Law (University of Lapland),  degree of Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Mediation in Peace Processes (ETH, Zurich) and has conducted studies in neuropsychology and cognitive psychology (University of Helsinki).
