Ms. Saara-Sofia Sirén (1986) works as a Member of Parliament in the Parliament of Finland. Besides her 15 year experience in politics, she has a demonstrated history in working in tens of positions on trust and chairing several national NGOs. She holds two master’s degrees from international master’s programmes: M.Sc. (Economics and Business Administration) and MA (Futures Studies). As a decision-maker and social impact professional Sirén is dedicated to promoting sustainability, equality and international development throughout her work. 

In 2021 Sirén was elected as President of National Council of Women in Finland representing 73 member organizations and over 400 000 members. Ms. Sirén is also vice-chair of Advisory Council fo FIIA (Finnish Institute of International Affairs) and vice-chair of Political Parties of Finland for Democracy - Demo Finland. She has also served as chair of UN Association of Finland as well as vice-chair of the Finnish Development Policy Committee. She is a member of the Finnish Delegation to the Nordic Council.
